Garbage Collection Change Due To Shire Holiday

Council advises residents that due to the Melbourne Cup Shire holiday on Tuesday, 4th November 2025, regular rubbish collection services in both Bedourie and Birdsville will be moved to Wednesday, 5th November 2025.

Water Supply Interruptions, Birdsville

Diamantina Shire Council advises community members and visitors that due to maintenance on the Birdsville water reservoir, there will be interruptions to the town water supply between 10am and 11am on Thursday, 23 October 2025. We recommending storing some drinking water for this period.

Road Works – Kepler Street, Bedourie

Council advises that road works (bitumen reseal) will be carried out along Kepler Street to the Racetrack Road, and from Racetrack Road through to the Aerodrome and Aerodrome carpark on Wednesday, 22 October 2025. We appreciate your patience while these works are completed.
